Summer Swimming Pool Nova Gorica

We prepared the design documentation for the renovation of the outdoor swimming pool in Nova Gorica and provided professional supervision during construction. As part of the renovation, the pool basins of the swimming pool, the non-swimmers’ pool and the children’s paddling pool were refurbished, a new underground service culvert was constructed, and investment maintenance of the pool technology was carried out. The surfaces are now safer to use and free of architectural barriers, allowing easier access also for people with reduced mobility. To make summer days more enjoyable, new rest and relaxation areas have been arranged on the pool deck. Shading structures have been installed on the eastern and western sides of the pool, with the possibility of additional shading on the southern side also foreseen. The atmosphere is complemented by a wooden deck and trees placed in movable planters, which contribute to a more natural and pleasant character of the space. The outdoor swimming pool complex, visited annually by several tens of thousands of visitors, includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, children’s pools, a large pool deck, and accompanying sanitary and service facilities.
